Halloween Tutorial - Jessie from Toy Story!

Hello everyone,
Today I'm doing the second Halloween tutorial. The makeup for Jessie is really easy, it's just a kind of complicated costume is all. But, non the less, I thought it was a good idea to show this makeup and you can incorporate it into different costumes or even tone down some aspects of it, and wear it as an everyday look! It is quite natural after all. The picture below is the picture I took inspiration from. Let's just start!

The first thing I did was make a smooth, flawless, (yeah right!), base. Obviously Jessie is a doll, so her skin is flawless and perfect! I used my Garnier Skin Naturals Shine Be Gone Moisturiser for a smooth and not oily base. Then I put on my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on any imperfections and redness. I then applied the Maybelline Lumi-Touch Highlighting Concealer under my eyes, down the bridge of my nose, on my cupid's bow and on my brow bone. Then I blended it in. I then set everything with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

L-R: Highlighting Concealer, Powder, Moisturiser, Concealer

For cheeks, I added a tonne of highlighter, in the same areas I placed the highlighting concealer. For highlighting I used the Soap and Glory Glow All Out Luminizing Powder. As you can see from the picture of Jessie, the lights shine off of her face because of the materials she is made of. Then for blush I used the Collection Shimmer Shades in Number 1 Way To Glow. This looks exactly like what Jessie wore! If you own Sugarbomb Boxed Blusher from Benefit, that will give the same result! Apply a lot.

L-R: Blush, Highlighter

Onto the eyebrows. I filled them in with my Rimmel Special Eyes Eyeliner in Rich Brown and set those with my, rather disgusting looking, Collection Clear Mascara, I did this because Jessie has thin, full eyebrows. I couldn't cover mine up, but if you can, or you have naturally thin eyebrows, then use yours or cover them. The only product I used on my eyelids was my Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer, to get rid of any veins on my lids.

L-R: Primer, Eyebrow Gel, Eyebrow Pencil
After this I put on my eyeliners. They are both the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Eyeliners, one in black one in nude. First of all, place the black liner on the tightline, (Under the top lashline), to make it look a lot thicker, as Jessie's lashline is very thick. Then, on the waterline, put the nude liner to make us look younger, to widen the eyes and to open the eyes up. Then apply a mascara to the top and bottom lashes. On the top I used the Maybelline Great Lash Blackest Black and on the bottom I used the 17 Waterproof Mascara, (This is quite old so I don't know if they still sell it!). Make sure to work the mascara on the top lashes into the base of them, it makes it look thicker!

Then for lips, I just moisturised with The Maybelline Baby Lips in Mint Fresh and then I applied the ELF Essentials Lipstick in Nostalgic, which is just a nude colour.

That's all I did for the makeup!

Now onto the hair. I just basically parted my hair in the middle and then put a side plait, (or braid, whichever you chose to call it), and I tied it off with a bobble. I then took hairspray and smoothed over the top and the loose pieces of hair in the plait. Sadly, I didn't have a yellow bow to tie on the end of my hair! But that's it! Very simple and easy to do! Then just slap a cowboy hat on, and you are good to go!

The Spooktacular Tag!

Hello everyone,
Today I have a tag post all about Halloween! Because it is less than a week away from Halloween and I'm not really in the Halloween spirit yet, I thought this would help towards making me more jolly about it! Here are the questions and answers!

1) Do you still Trick or Treat?
I have trick or treated every year of my life on Halloween, from what I remember!

2) Do you like going to haunted attractions?
Not really but I haven't had many experiences with them because, in England, we don't have that many to go to, and the ones we do have are too busy, so I don't bother!

3) Favourite Halloween candy?
I really like any sort of candy really. There's not too much that I don't like so I guess most things I like. Also, in the UK, we don't have special edition for Halloween sweets, we just have Halloween themed sweets that are sold all year round.

4) Favourite Halloween movie?
I love all the Halloween Town films and also Hocus Pocus is one of my all time favourites. Recently I watched the Billy and Mandy Halloween Special from Cartoon Network and it was so funny, if you have Sky On Demand, go to TV Box Sets, then to Kids Shock-Tober and there it is!

5) Favourite scary movie?
Not sure why but I really like Scream and it's not even scary! I loved Woman In Black! That is probably my favourite because it has a storyline and is the sort of scary film I would produce if I had the chance.

6) Favourite costume you ever wore as a child?
I can't really remember any amazing ones but there was one year I went as a corpse bride and my friends mum did my hair and makeup and her and my mum did the dress together!

7) First costume you can remember wearing?
Probably just the one from above.

8) Favourite Autumn food and beverages?
I love hot chocolate and tea, and for food I like more desserts in Autumn. Nothing really in particular, other than gingerbread men.

9) Do you have a festive background on your phone?
No I don't! I would like to find one though!

10) What are you going to dress up as this year?
I'm actually going to be in London this year for Halloween, so I won't be dressing up! But I am going to the Harry Potter Studio Tour and I couldn't be more excited for it!

11) What would Pinecone be? (Or your pet)
I think my dog, Charlie, would be a sloth or a koala because he likes to sleep. Or he would be a T-Rex because he likes it when small dogs come near him because he is pretty big so I could see him being a dinosaur! I don't think he would dress up, but I would find it funny to see him as a cat... DO NOT tell me you don't mess with your dogs too...!

12) What candy do you have left in your stash after you eat everything else?
Fudges, I don't like those, and random sweets and lollipops that have no brand or name!

13) Do you decorate your house?
Not really, other than pumpkins.

14) Pumpkin patches, corn mazes or hay rides?
I have never been to one and I don't think we have any huge ones in the UK, but I like the sound of a pumpkin patch, because I panic if I can't get out of  a maze and I don't see the pint in a hay ride!

15) Going to a corn maze, what do you wear?
This is what I would wear:

Corn Maze Outfit.

My Month in Pictures!

Hello everyone,
Today I have a post that I thought would be a bit more interesting than my normal blog post. I have put a collage of pictures that I took over the last month or two! Some of these are from my instagram, (I can't give you my instagram name because it's my personal one! Sorry!), and some are just from my phone. I'll talk you through what the photos mean and what I did over the past month and a bit, so I hope you enjoy it!

First of all this month I baked a lot! I made several cakes and buns this month which is obviously what the first and third picture are about.

I also spent so much time with my family and friends in September and October. Mostly because school started again. Anyway on this collage there are lots of pictures with my family and friends, most of all my cousin, Holly!

Then there are a couple of makeup pictures. I regrettably, let my brother do my makeup, in picture two on the top row and then I let my friend Meghan do my makeup blindfolded on picture four on the top row. The last makeup picture was from my last blog post, it was the Halloween Tutorial on the Queen of Hearts.

It was also my birthday in October and I had a great time! I think I might do a What I Got For My Birthday Blog Post, but my birthday was ages ago so... I'm not sure! Nevermind that, I just really enjoyed the day and the picture of the balloon was a gift from my Grandparents!

The last two pictures, third along on the middle row and first on the bottom row, are both of the day I got told I was going to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London! I'm really excited to go and I love my parents for that gift!

Hope you enjoyed that and if you did tell me in a comment and I might do these once a month! I've done it a bit early this month, but before I go away next week I want to cram a lot of blog posts in and this was one of them!

Halloween Tutorial - The Queen of Hearts!

Hello everyone,
Today I have a blog post about how to get the desired look of the Queen of Hearts from Alice and Wonderland. I took inspiration from the Tim Burton version because the cartoon film has no real makeup looks I could look at. This one is a bold blue eye and a thin red lip. I really liked playing around with this look so I hope you enjoy it! Any comments about what tutorial you would like next is appreciated! Let's get into it!

Firstly, lets look at the look you will be left with at the end.

Firstly for the face, I just did a normal base. I used my Collection Primed and Ready Soothing Makeup Primer and then put my Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in the shade 130 Shell. If you have a darker skin tone than mine, then try to use a lighter foundation, but if it's too noticeable then don't bother. I also put on my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on any blemishes and my under eyes. I then set my makeup with the Constance Caroll Translucent Powder, (I couldn't find this online!).

Top: L- Primer, R- Foundation
Bottom: L- Concealer, R- Powder

The bronzer and blusher I used was the Nars Orgasm and Laguna Duo. apply a lot of blusher and then a small amount of bronzer on the tops of the cheek bones. This gives a sunken in look. Then using the MUA Eyeshadow in Shade 12, I contoured the hollows of my cheeks, only slightly, as it is a grey sparkly colour.

Contour with the eyeshadow.

Left: Nars Duo
Right: MUA Eyeshadow- 12

Then I applied Benefit Stay Don't Stray eye primer. Apply this under your eyes as well as your eyelids. After this I did my eyebrows and I used the black shimmery shadow called Shade 15 from MUA. You can use a matte shadow if you prefer, but I thought the shimmer would be nice for a Halloween look! And I set those with the MUA Clear Mascara. I then went onto eyeshadow. The first eyeshadow is the lighter of the two blue colours in the 17 Eyeshadow Duo. I applied this all over the lid up to the brow bone. This shade is a frosty blue which looks great in the inner corner when we are done blending. Then I put the colour Number 31 From MUA, all over the lid as a blue base. Then, in the crease, add a bright blue colour. I used 17 Single Eyeshadow in Socialite. Then, on the very edge of the eyebrow and the outer side/corner of the eye, I placed the darkest colour in the 17 Eyeshadow Duo. I hope that was clear!

Top: L-R: Eye Primer, Eyebrow Colour, Eye Look
Bottom: MUA Shadow, !7 Eyeshadow - Socialite, 17 Eyeshadow Duo
Then I went onto adding a small line of gel liner on the top lashline. I used the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner in Black for this. I then added white to my waterline. I first put on the Saffron White Shimmery Eyeliner Pencil and over the top added a white shimmery eyeshadow in Star from Miss Sporty. I mixed it with water to be able to put it on my waterline, but if you have some Mac Fix-Plus, you can use that instead. This opened up the eyes like they are in the film. Then I added ten tonnes of Mascara! I used the Bourjois Paris Black Jack Volume Clubbing Mascara and then the Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara. These two together are great! If you want a cheaper option, the Collection Big Fake Ultimate Black Mascara, that stuff is really amazing! Do the bottom lashes too!

I put some lip balm on before the next step and then applied concealer to my lips and blended it out. This hides the lips. Then with a small brush, draw on a small pair of lips in red lipstick, (I used the Matte Red Lipstick from W7 in Vampire Kiss), in the shape of a heart. Then line around that with the black gel eyeliner I used earlier, this makes it stand out more. That's it! Then just add a small, black, beauty mark on the top of your cheek.

L-R: Hydrate Baby Lips, Lipstick and Brush, Lip Look

That's it for today! I hope you enjoyed this look and that some of you use it this year for Halloween. I will at least do one more tutorial this year. I hope it was clear enough to follow too!

Autumn Makeup Wishlist!

Autumn Makeup Wishlist!

Hello everyone,
Today I have my Autumn Makeup Wishlist to show you! I have never done one of these blog posts before so I thought it would be a nice idea to do! I do want to say that these are just the beauty things so there may be another one for fashion or other random things! I don't want to buy all of these things at once or maybe even this year! I might only get one, if any. But this is a wishlist, so it's full of things that, if I could have anything, these are the things I would pick right now. (Links open in new tabs!)

1) Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick - Raisin - £7.99
I swatched this lipstick a while ago and thought it was a really unique colour. Sadly, I didn't buy it at the time but would love to won it and think it would look good for Autumn and Winter. I don't think it's too dark or too light either, it's so pretty! I really like the finish of this type of lipstick from Max Factor, it dries almost like a matte but has tonnes of moisture and sheen. This lipstick costs £7.99 from both Boots and Superdrug.

2) Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara - Black - £12.00
This is a product I have been interested in for a while. This is basically the most waterproof mascara ever and it has the tiniest little wand to perfectly get into the little lashes! I really would like to try this because most mascaras I use end up under my eye and look all smudged. Get your very own here.

3) Barry M Gelly High Shine Nail Paint - Red - £3.99
These are the best nail polishes I have ever tried! They are really shiny, they apply well and they just look like a gel manicure. This one is a bright Autumnal red and I think would look great around Christmas... ( Yes I did just say the C word, but I feel as though we can start to talk about now... I don't think we should celebrate it until after Halloween but... Whatever!)  These are super cheap and really good quality. Plus they are usually 3 for 2! Get yours here.

4) Maybelline Expert Wear Blush - Flash Plum - £5.19
I would really like to try these blushes from Maybelline, as I have never tried any cheek products from them before. This one is a beautiful plum colour which is a perfect colour for this Autumn and Winter time. I think it will look gorgeous with a darker eye and nude lip for the colder months. I think, because I am pale, this colour won't look muddy, but it will show up as a true plum colour. You can purchase this product here.

5) Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer - £25 - Milk Chocolate
This product is meant to be a very light bronzer for really pale people, like myself. This bronzer is also meant to smell like chocolate which will be nice for the cooler months! I would love to try this and I think that a bronzer is necessary, so that I can be a bit less pale in Autumn and Winter! This product is available here.

6) Benefit Rockateur Boxed Blush - £24
I really have wanted to try this since it came out and I think I might treat myself to this soon! This is a rose gold blusher and I think it will look good with any eye or lip look! I think I would use it a lot and that is the reason I really want it! I've heard it smells great too! I found it on Debenhams here.

7) Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - £20
This is an eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay and is the third installation in their Naked line. This small palette is made up of five matte eyeshadows and one shimmery one. I think that's a great mix and with only six colours, you can do so many looks with it! It's great for travel and has a lot of hype online. This is £20 and is available here.

Those are all of the beauty wishlist items I have for today!

First Ever Nars Product!

Hello everyone,
Today I want to share my first ever Nars purchase! I wanted to test Nars and I know that some of their products are extremely hyped-up on the interweb. The product I purchased was the Blusher/Bronzer Duo in Orgasm and Laguna. I bought this from Asos for £30. It seems expensive, but you get two great sized products in a duo with a mirror for a really good price. They are the two best selling products from Nars. I ordered it on Saturday morning and it arrived on Tuesday whilst I was at school, so not very long postage at all! I was really happy with it! I might do a more in depth review when I have used them for a while, in a couple of weeks. Here are some closer pictures of the products and swatches too.

The Best Friend Tag with Molly! Part 1!

Hello everyone,
Today I have a blog post coming to you that I think is really fun! I'm sorry that I'm doing two tags in a row but I have a few  beauty posts coming up in the next few days! This blog post is a collaboration with my friend Molly, who has an awesome fashion based blog! I would love it if you would check her out! (The link will open in a new tab!) This is part one of the best friend tag and the second half will be on Molly's blog, here.

*Disclaimer* We have many other friends that we wish to do this with but as we are together today, we thought we would do it! Maybe I can talk some of my other friends into doing this with us.

Let's begin.
1) How and when did you meet?
We met in High School over two years ago now on our introduction evening. We were in the same form and Molly was the first person I ever spoke to in school. We both were on our own from Primary School so we kind of had no one that we knew.

2) What is your favourite memory together?
All the trips and school plays we have worked backstage on. These were just the best because of how much time we spent together, with our other friends too. Also Fridays last lesson of the week.

3) Describe each other in one word?
Molly's word for me is 'Amazing'... I know right, she could've done better! My word for Molly is rare! Basically another word for unique!

4) What's your dream job?
My dream job is just something that I would enjoy for the rest of my life! Not sure yet! And Molly's dream job would be a vet and that is a pretty recent discovery.

5) What's your favourite makeup brand?
I really like Rimmel and Revlon. I also really like MUA from the drugstore. Molly's favourite is No7 which you can find in Boots.

6) What is something that annoys you about the other person?
Molly says that I can be too nice sometimes, which I totally agree with! I am a bit of a push over sometimes, but I do know where I stand and what I know is right and wrong.

7) If you could go anywhere in the world together where would it be and why?
We decided that we would both like to go to Greece because it looks so beautiful! We want it to be like in Mamma Mia, where all the buildings are white and there is a bright blue ocean!

8) Favourite inside joke?
There are many! Feel free to add any in the comments that I may forget Molly!

  • Is it focused?... (Shared with our other friends)
  • Oraclearians
  • Insight
  • Appreciate
  • So many more...!
9) Who takes longer to get ready in the morning?
On a school day, I take thirty five minutes and Molly takes an hour!

10) Favourite season?
We both said Autumn!

11) Favourite song?
We have two favourites each:
Molly: All time favourite song is Just Dance by Lady Gaga and her favourite song at the moment is Radioactive by Imagine Dragons.
Mine: All time favourite is The Man Who Can't Be Moved by The Script and my current favourites are Burn by Ellie Goulding and Someone by Lucy Spraggan.

That's it for my half of the tag! Be sure to see part two on Molly's blog! My next post will be a beauty post!

The Common White Girl Tag!

Hello everyone,
Today  I am going to do the common white girl tag! I have seen this floating around the Youtube Community and thought I should do it too! Me and my friend Hannah were talking about doing this, so when she tagged me to go it, I had to! (Click here to go to Hannah's awesome and amazing blog! It'll open in a new window!) So without further ado, (If that's how you would write that word? I'll admit it... I Googled it!), lets get on with the tag!

1) Favourite Starbucks drink?
Well, I really like the small decaf, low fat, (I think :/), Seattle Latte that you can buy from Asda, but from an actual Starbucks shop, I like the iced green tea, only iced in Summer, also I like the berry hibiscus fruit drink and hot chocolate!

2) How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
I get up at seven every morning and I'm out of the door by quarter to eight, so it takes me about twenty minutes to half an hour!

3) How many selfies do you take on a daily basis?
I'm not going to lie, I take about three to five selfies a day. But, having said that, it's only when I like my makeup so I can go weeks or months without selfies! My phone is full of them but I delete them all afterwards and think, 'Why did I do that?'.

4) How many Instagram followers and pictures do you have?
I have 54 followers and 244 pictures as of now!

5) Do you ever say 'LOL' or 'OMG' out loud?
I only say them if I'm with my friends and it's in a joking or sarcastic way!

6) Do you wear the same clothing item more than once?
Ummm... OF COURSE I DO! It's stupid to buy clothes and only wear it once, unless it's a wedding dress or a prom dress! I wear my favourite pieces of clothing all the time!

7) Are you racist?
I'm sorry. WHAT? Ok. The answer is... NO! Of course not! Everyone is equal and I don't have time for people who think otherwise.

8) How many tweets do you have?
I only have 645 tweets but it seems like I have so much more!

9) Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr?
In this order: Twitter, Instagram then Tumblr.

10) What do you spend most of your time doing?
Watching TV, being on the internet, texting, anything to do with social media, baking or going out with friends!

11) Who are your favourite Youtubers?
Beautybaby44, Tanya Burr, Zoella, Sprinkle Of Glitter, Daily Grace, Shane Dawson, Pointless Blog TV, Casper Lee, Marcus Butler, Jim Chapman, Grav3yardgirl, Jacksgap, MacBarbie07... The list could go on!

12) How often do you do your nails?
If they are long, every few days, if not I just leave them to look disgusting!

13) Are you a shopaholic?
I'm not too bad I can definitely go into shops and not buy anything but it's really hard for me not to do that and I go shopping almost every weekend, so, you decide!

14) How many times have you watched Mean Girls?
Too many. I could probably quote the whole film... :)

15) Do you own a lot of clothes?
Not too many because the clothes I have, I love and wear all the time so I wear mostly the same stuff all the time!

16) Do you take pictures of food before you eat it?
If the food looks pretty or is arranged nicely or I'm eating at a place that is strange, new or unknown to other people then yes. But not always!

17) Do you wear makeup everyday?
If I'm not at school, work or going out for a long time then I'm not wearing makeup but if I'm in those places or I'm out for a few hours then I will wear makeup.

18) What are your average grades in school?
I'm in the top set for all subjects and my expected grades are about a B or more for GCSE so I guess that's what grade I'm kind of working at! I guess levels 5-7 depending on the subject!

19) How do you usually style your hair?
If I'm fresh out of the shower then I will straighten it, but if I haven't washed it for a couple of days then I put it up in a ponytail or a bun! I very rarely curl it!

20) Do you always look presentable?
I try to, when I'm out, but not always! I'm always in pyjamas if I am home!

That was the common white girl tag! How much of a common white girl do you think I am?!

An Exciting October!

Hello everyone,
I am here today to tell you all of the many exciting things that are going to be happening to me in the next month, and so that you guys know where I am going to be all month!

Let's start with tomorrow. Tomorrow, the ninth, is my birthday! I'm really excited and I want to thank anyone that gave me a present already or is going to give me a gift! Thanks to you all! I'll be fourteen if you didn't know and I couldn't be more excited!

Then at the end of the month, on the twenty ninth, I am going to see the show, Wicked, in Manchester with my mum and my two aunties. I really wanted to see this show when it came to Manchester and I'm so glad I get to go.

Then, the day after Wicked, I am going to London for four days! London is one of my favourite places and I can't wait to go! On the thirty first, which is obviously Halloween, I am going to the Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio Tour with my family! I cannot wait, I have wanted to go for so long! I am so lucky and I can't believe how much I am getting to do this month! I love my parents for getting all of this stuff for our family to do this month!

I wanted to tell you all so you know that there may be less posts this month!

Thanks for reading,
