September Favourites!

Hello everyone,
Today I have my September favourites blog post and can we just talk about how fast September went by! Oh my gosh, this month flew by and I can't believe that I am in my forth week back at school already! Lets get into the products I loved this month!

The first thing, that has been my absolute love this month, is the Stila In The Light Eyeshadow Palette! I did a full blog post on that here. It is seriously amazing and, again, if you want more detail on it the click the link to see the post about it!

The next thing that I have been loving is the moisturiser that I mentioned in my blog haul. This is the Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturiser! This is so simple and quick and doesn't take me long at all to put on and rub in! It saves me so much time and I love it so much.

The Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me has become a favourite too, because of it's moisture and colour. It's a simple and light hint of colour that is perfect with any look!

Then I have been enjoying the Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencil. This is super cheap, really creamy on the eyes and stays for a very long time! It is an ivory, shimmery colour that is perfect to slap on the lid and blend in when I'm being pretty lazy! This one is the colour Vanilla Sky 01. I have another one which I am not as pleased with so maybe I will write about them soon.

That's it for the beauty favourites and now onto other things like books, films and songs. I haven't read anything new this month but I am determined to start a new book very soon! For films I saw Pitch Perfect this month and loved it! For songs I really like Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball, (Don't judge!), and also Passion Pit Take A Walk.

Light Summer Outfit! (Polyvore Intro!)

Hello everyone,
Today I made a Polyvore account, on which you can make
collages like the one below for any outfits, makeup looks, perfumes, nail
polishes etc... This will now be a vital tool for my blog and I can't wait to
put more up. Obviously Summer is over now but where you live it may
still be hot so I did a light summer outfit to wear on a hot day! The link
to my Polyvore page is here.

Blog Haul!

Hello everyone,
I'm very glad to say that my internet has been fixed! This means I can post more regularly and can do more blog posts each week for you all! Secondly, I'm glad to say that today I will be doing my very first haul/review post. I say review as well, because I have had this stuff for two weeks and I can do a small review on each thing as I have tried them all! Some products I will do full reviews on and so I will do a small one on this post today! Lets just get into it! (Links open in new tabs!)

The first things I bought were a new release in the UK and as soon as I saw them I knew I had to have them! It's the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms! I got five of them and I am determined to get the last one which is Peach Kiss.

Top (L to R): Cherry Me, Hydrate, Mint Fresh
Bottom (L to R): Pink Punch, Intense Care
So far I really like them! They are very moisturising and I like the colours of the tinted ones and think they are a nice light colour for day to day wear.

Secondly I went over to the Rimmel London stand in Superdrug and saw that everything was buy one get one half price, obviously I couldn't pass up on that deal. The first thing I got was the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I'm probably going to do a review on it soon but I have used this before and liked it a lot! This foundation was £8.99 but can be found on offer for £6.99 most times!

Then, because I got something I had already tried before, I decided to try something new. I picked up the Rimmel Kate Moss Matte lipstick in 107. I saw Zoella raving about this product and knew I had to try it, and, with it being on a deal, I got it for only £2.25! Bargain!

The next two products I bought were both from Soap and Glory in Boots. I had never tried their makeup before so when I saw there was an offer on, I had to take advantage of it! This deal was, like before, buy one get one half price! I decided to pick up the Soap and Glory Glow All Out Luminizing Face Powder. I got this because of Fleur De Force and because I really wanted one nice highlighter for all the time and because I use so little of it everyday, I thought it would last a long time, that is how I justified the £11 price tag! I think I will do a review of this product soon!

The second, and last, thing I got from S&G was the eyeshadow quad in What's Nude?. I really love this quad and I think I will do a post showing you a few ways to wear the eyeshadows in it in the future! That sounds pretty good to me! This is normally £10 but because of the deal it was only £5!

Then I got a product that has proven to me how lazy I actually am! I got the new Vaseline Spray on Moisturiser! This stuff is pretty good and my next post will hopefully be about this, so I won't say too much! I got the aloe scent and this was £4.99.

Lastly I got two pieces of jewellery the first is from Accessorize. This is a sideways gold cross necklace with a black chain that has a trace of gold running through it! I love this and it's dainty and quite feminine but in an edgy way for Autumn! (Sorry I couldn't find the link but you can search for it in shops or online!)

The last thing is a bracelet from Claire's. This is a white infinity bracelet and at first I thought it looked tacky but with the right outfit it would look gorgeous! This was £4.50. (Claire's doesn't have an online site so I couldn't link this bracelet!)

That's it for my first blog haul!

20 Question Tag!

Hello everyone,
I'm very sorry that I have not been posting much recently but I went back to school and my internet has been playing up! I did tell you that in my last post! I just wanted to do a simple tag today so this is the 20 questions tag!

1) Thing you cannot leave the house without?
Lip balm, my phone and headphones!

2) Favourite brand of makeup?
My favourite drugstore brand is either Revlon or Maybelline and my favourite higher end brand is Benefit, I don't have any full sized products from them but I have been impressed with everything I have tried!

3) Favourite flower?
White lilies are ones that I really like!

4) Favourite clothing store?
I really like Primark or New Look.

5) Favourite perfume?
Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears! It is amazing and it brings many good memories back to me!

6) Heels or flats?
I like heels but I prefer flats because they are easier to wear and I'd look really tall compared to some people if I wore heels!

7) Do you get good grades?
I get wha I'm expected to in school so I'd say that's pretty good!

8) Favourite colours?
Orange has become a recent favourite and also mint green!

9) Do you drink energy drinks?
I like lucozade a lot but I have given up energy drinks that are sugary. I now only have one every so often about one a month!

10) Do you drink juice?
Sometimes. My favourite is summer fruits.

11) Do you like swimming?
I used to like swimming a lot but I haven't been in about three years!

12) Do you eat chips with a fork?
Only if they are covered in sauce. If not then I dip it in and eat it with my fingers.

13) Favourite moisturiser?
For body I like the Body Shop Body Butters and for my face I don't have a permanent one that is always in my skin routine!

14) Do you want to get married in later life?
I would love to get married if I find the right person and that's just what I think!

15) Do you get mad easily?
Sometimes I do but it just depends what mood I'm in at the time.

16) Are you into ghost hunting?
I would love to do a real ghost hunt! It seems so interesting to me and I love the dead and graveyards, I find them the most peaceful places to think and to walk around. I would love to do it but you have to be 18 to do the experience one that I saw!

17) Any phobias?
Spiders and heights!

18) Do you bite your nails?
I used to but I'm happy to say that I have stopped!

19) Ever had a near death experience?
Just when I was a baby. I apparently stopped breathing and went blue in the face one day in the car. Luckily my mum was a nurse and we were still at the hospital after leaving that day.

20) Do you drink coffee?
Sometimes I drink flavoured coffees but I don't drink coffee just on it's own!

That was my 20 Question Tag! My next post should be a haul from last weekend that I planned to do earlier in the week, but I had difficulties!

Back to School Tag 2013!

Hello everyone,
Today I'm going to do a tag about  back to school because I go back to school pretty soon! Here we go:

1) What year are you going into?
I'm going into Year 9 which is the third year in High School in the UK!

2) What day do you start school?
I start this Monday which is the Ninth of September.

3) Did you have Summer homework? Did you finish it?
We don't get summer homework because we have different classes and teachers every year so there's no point having homework!

4) What are you wearing for the first day of school?
We have a uniform like most UK schools so I'll be wearing that!

5) What classes are you taking?
All of them that school offers but this year I chose my options for GCSE's, (the main exams in the UK)!

6) When do you usually wake up and go to bed on a school day?
I wake up at about 7am and go to bed at about 10pm on average!

7) What do you find most stressful about school?
When you don't get homework for a couple of weeks and then you get homework from every class in one week that is all due in at the same time!! AHHHHHHH! :O

8) Are you excited to go back?
Yes, by the time school rolls round I'm ready to go back and find out my new timetable and see my friends and just to get back into the swing of things!

First Impressions and Review ||| Stila In The Light Eyeshadow Palette!

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I received a package from an online shop called beautybay, I had ordered on Friday or Saturday and my order came on Tuesday. Pretty good postage! Inside was the beautiful Stila In the Light Palette! I was truly wanting to try this palette for the longest time. There are four different types of the 'In the Light...' palettes: In The Light, In The Garden, In The Moment and In The Know. Each one comes with different eyeshadows and a different eyeliner in each as well as different coloured packaging. I got this one because this one had the most neutrals and I had heard Zoella talk about it and how much she loved it. This palette costs £25 and, on beautybay, there is worldwide free delivery! So lets get into the photos and my first impressions of this product! I do want to say that I got this as my birthday present so I did not pay for it but my Mum said that I could get it early if I wanted, (My birthday is in October), because I didn't want anything else for my birthday gift, so I just decided to get it there and then! (*Click to enlarge any images*)

I think Stila's packaging is so cute because it is cardboard and there is no excess packaging which is nice! I love it! This palette is pretty small but there are 10 really good sized eyeshadows and a full sized Smudge Stick Eyeliner in Damsel, (a dark brown). This palette is really good value for money and it's awesome! The eyeshadows, so far, seem very pigmented and they are everyday colours. This palette also comes with a small lookbook so that you can do some of the looks that they have suggested, at the end I will show you the one that I copied today so that I could test out the most neutral one in the book! Here is the palette, lookbook and swatches of all of the shadows: (*Click to enlarge any images*)

Top three: Bare, Kitten, Bliss
Bottom three: Bubbly, Gilded Gold, Luster

Top two: Sunset, Sandstone
Bottom two: Night Sky, Ebony

Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Damsel

Bottom: Bubbly

Top: Kitten
Bottom: Gilded Gold

Top: Bliss
Bottom: Luster

Bottom: Night Sky

Top: Sandstone
Bottom: Ebony

Firstly I will talk about the liner. This is one of the creamiest liners I have ever come across! It's a natural dark brown which I love because it's not as harsh as black but it is still dark. This stays on pretty well so far and it just glides on the waterline. I have yet to try this product on my top lashline but I'm sure it will be great! I love it so much! They do sell these separately, you can get those here

The eyeshadows are amazing quality and they are so pigmented and lovely. I love how they are all neutral and there is a mix of shimmery shades and matte shades. The matte shades are exactly which ones you want to be matte and the shimmery shades are exactly perfect because they are darker colours like greens and blues so I can experiment with the more natural colours. I love it! One of my favourite shades is Kitten, it's just like a pressed pigment!

If you are on the edge of whether to buy this or not, I think you should just go for it! I don't regret it! This palette is made up of 10 of Stila's best selling eyeshadows. They are each bigger than the Naked palette eyeshadows from Urban Decay and it's cheaper too! And you get a full sized eyeliner included in the price. One full sized eyeliner on it's own is £13 and a single eyeshadow on it's own is £12 so that equals to the price of this palette - great deal if you ask me!

Last but not least I want to show you the look I did today using the lookbook provided. The look is the second picture down, (*Click to enlarge any images*), I also added the eyeliner to my waterline and didn't wing the black shadow out.

The look I did.

Overall I will give this product a:

Four and a half out of five.

August Favourites!

Hello everyone,
Today I have my August favourites post. I cannot believe it's September! This year has gone by so fast and it will be Halloween soon! I'm very sad that Summer is over but I am incredibly excited for Autumn and Winter! So without further ado, lets start my favourites! (All links open in new tabs!)

I haven't loved that many new makeup products but I have a couple to share with you! The first one is a bronzer I have been using and I might do a full review on it soon. This is the Bourjois Paris Délice De Soleil Bronzing Powder. This is the perfect all over the face, glowy, bronzer. I love it so much! I will talk more about it in one of the next few blog posts.

 (*Click any images to enlarge*)

I also have been loving the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in 01 Black. It's amazing and it stays on for so long! A lot of gel eyeliners are a little to soft for me so they just run on my oily eyelids, but this one is amazing and doesn't run, smudge or budge from my eyes at all! Plus it's super black and pigmented but easy to get off at night!

For fragrance I have been using the DKNY Be Delicious perfume. This just smells like heaven in a bottle very fruity and florally so if you like that then give this one a sniff! On a separate note, on Boots, I have linked the 50ml bottle because that one is £24 and the 30ml on Boots is £23.33, so I'm sure you wouldn't mind paying 67p more for 20ml more product!

Now for random favourites of the month! The first things I have enjoyed are both for breakfast! The first is Pop Tarts. I did a full chatty blog post on these, (here). The other favourite I have are the Kelloggs Rice Krispes Multi-grain Shapes Cereal! These were a blast from the past and they taste so sweet and amazing!

I have another food favourite, and that is the Yeo Valley Greek Style With Honey Yoghurt. This stuff tastes so good and I believe it is better than normal yoghurt in some ways so this makes me like it even more. It's super cheap, tastes amazing and you get so much in the pot!

Then for my film of the month I loved the Katy Perry: Part of Me film. I love it! Katy has always been one of my favourites and I went to the tour that the film is based on so it was interesting for me to see all the stuff I didn't get to when I was watching the show! It made me laugh and, (nearly!), cry! I loved it so much and when I feel down I just watch this film! It's such a feel good film!

I also have been on a Katy Perry music kick and I have a few favourite songs this month from her new and old album! The first is Roar. I love it. Plain and simple! Also I really like the song, Who am I Living For?, (I had to link a random lyrics video because there is not an official video for this song!), from the Teenage Dream album and it was one of my favourites that she performed too!

Then, last but certainly not least, I loved the book, The Fault in Our Stars. I downloaded it off of iTunes and I read it in about three days, on and off. I love it so much and it may be my new all time favourite book! It;'s amazing and when the film comes out I will be first in line to see it!

That's it for this month and lets see what September brings!
